Adopt Me: Alex is sweet and sassy

He is looking for an adult-only home
Alex (2)

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Alex is a two-year-old domestic short-haired cat that came into our care at the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre as a stray. This sweet and sassy boy has rounded ears, possibly from frost bite, but nothing stops him from making a toy out of anything!

Alex is very friendly and is looking for a cat savvy adopter in an adult-only home. He enjoys company, but at times also likes his solitude. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.

The Ontario SPCA has introduced limited contact adoptions to ensure a fun, safe and happy experience for the animals, adopters and our teams. Potential adopters interested in animals like Alex can expect the same thorough, thoughtful and compassionate adoption experience that the Ontario SPCA has always delivered.

For more information on Alex, or limited contact adoptions, visit or call 905-898-7122, ext. 306.

If you are unable to adopt, but still want to support animals in need consider donating to our virtual Sweat for Pets fundraiser. Visit to donate and change the lives of animals in need at your local adoption centre.
