The Town of Aurora has joined forces with Enviro World to promote water conservation. Residents are encouraged to join the water conservation movement and purchase a rain barrel online from March 25 to May 20, 2024.
Rain barrels reduce stormwater run-off by capturing rainwater which contributes to mitigating the negative impact of stormwater on local ecosystems and by harvesting rainwater, residents can reduce their dependence on traditional water sources, leading to savings on their water bills. And for all the local gardeners in Town, rainwater is free from chemicals found in our water system and helps promote healthier more robust plan growth.
Rain barrels will be available to order online until May 20. Residents will be required to keep their receipt and pick up their rain barrel at the Joint Operation Centre, 229 Industrial Parkway North on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
